Abhimanyu is a Senior Program Associate with the Geo-Analytics team at WRI India. Based in Kochi, he supports research, data analysis, and visualization across various projects related to urban development and transport.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut and an M.Tech in Infrastructure Design and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. His journey into urban research began with his thesis on Urban Growth Modelling. Prior to joining WRI India, Abhimanyu interned with WRI India, the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), and Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL).

Abhimanyu is interested in exploring critical urban theory and the role of data as an enabler for participatory planning. Outside of work, he enjoys backpacking during holidays and playing chess in his free time.
