Program Manager – Power Sector
Amitesh Sirvaiya is a Program Manager with the Clean Energy Supply team, part of the WRI India Energy Program. His work focuses on the regulatory and policy aspects of Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Based in Bhopal, he works closely with state agencies, regulators, and stakeholders to support the state’s energy transition goals.
Amitesh has a background in policy analysis, regulatory governance, and power sector reforms. His work has centered on designing and implementing renewable energy schemes, shaping regulatory reforms, and contributing to strategies that advance energy transition efforts across India. He has also been actively involved in policy advocacy efforts on critical issues involving taxation, import duties, industry-specific regulatory compliance, and production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes.
Amitesh holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Bhopal.
