Archana Balachandran is a Senior Program Associate at WRI India. Broadly, her work focuses on encouraging public transport usage in India through research and stakeholder engagement. Since joining, she has worked on projects focused on improving last-mile connectivity to the metro, enabling private partnerships and corporate commitments towards public transport usage, leveraging data and digital innovation to improve public transport discovery and examining public transport usage patterns among different user groups, especially among women.
Archana holds a Masters in Urban Policy and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a Bachelors in Economics from Miranda House, Delhi University. In her free time, Archana is either reading books, watching TV or exhausting her money at the newest diner in the city.
