Aryan Bajpai
Program Associate - Climate, Economics and Finance
Aryan Bajpai is a Programme Associate with the Climate, Economics and Finance program at WRI India. His work primarily focuses on identifying pathways to mobilize climate finance at a sub-national level across India.
Prior to working at WRI India, Aryan was a part of The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) for 3 years wherein he focused on mobilizing nature and adaptation finance and conducted climate risk assessments to estimate and address disaster vulnerabilities through inclusive adaptation strategies such as Locally-led Climate Adaptation, Nature-based Solutions, etc.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences from School of Rural Development, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Tuljapur and a Certificate in Enterprise Development and Social Entrepreneurship from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) as part of the Transforming India Initiative Fellowship.
In addition to his interest in exploring innovative financial instruments, Aryan enjoys exploring Japanese culture primarily through anime, mythology and music. He is also a cinephile, especially enthusiastic about East-Asian films and likes to spend his free time trying unique cuisines in and around Mumbai.
