Baalaji Ravichandran is a Project Associate with the Energy Program at WRI India. His work focuses on advancing new energy technologies, particularly in the wind energy sector, to support India’s clean energy transition. Before joining WRI India, Baalaji worked as a Wind Energy Professional with Siemens Gamesa and Vestas, where he contributed to projects aimed at optimizing renewable energy systems. He holds a master’s degree in Computational Mechanics from Universität Duisburg-Essen, Germany, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. Originally from Chennai, Baalaji is an avid fan of Arsenal FC and the Chennai Super Kings. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring global cuisines, gaming, watching anime, and podcasting.
