Divya Sharma is the Program Lead – Restoration Finance at WRI India, within the Food, Land, and Water Program. She leads the ‘Land Accelerator India’ and the ‘Harit Bharat Fund’ under the Protect & Restore pillar. Through these initiatives, she catalyzes the social, economic, and environmental impact of organizations (such as startups, MSMEs, FPCs, and NGOs) across the non-profit- for-profit continuum, and actively contributes to protecting open natural ecosystems and harnessing India’s restoration potential through an interdisciplinary systems change lens.

Divya brings over 15 years of cross-sectoral experience across Indian and Southeast Asian contexts. After a long and successful stint in the private sector, she transitioned to the impact space, founding a social microenterprise and mentoring early-stage startups to empower 'underserved entrepreneurs', combining business acumen with purpose-driven work.

A creative and strategic thinker, Divya draws on her diverse background to help unlock the potential of innovators and build strong and inclusive ecosystems. She is deeply committed to empowering vulnerable and underserved individuals to lead productive, dignified lives.

Divya holds a design degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from MICA, where she was awarded the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. She also holds a verified MITx MicroMasters® credential from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and J-PAL in Data, Economics, and Development Policy (now titled ‘Data, Economics, and Design of Policy’), graduating with top scores. Her areas of interest and specialization include Strategic Planning and Management, Social Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business Acceleration, Impact Financing, Design and Systems Thinking.
