Himanshu Gaydhani joined WRI India as a Research Associate in the CEO’s office, where he provides analytical and technical support to facilitate cross-team initiatives by conducting data-driven analyses to improve project outcomes and develop frameworks and methodologies across cross-team initiatives. He coordinates with various teams across the organization, providing logistical and strategic support.

Himanshu’s passion lies in leveraging data-driven insights to make informed decisions and create positive impacts. His recent work involved designing an analytical framework for gender budgeting assessment (MWCD) in India and engaging stakeholders to bridge the gap between research and policy. He is keen to contribute expertise in combining quantitative analysis with strategic planning to projects focusing on sustainable development, economic growth, and data-driven decision-making. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to research, from conducting in-depth sectoral analyses to exploring the socio-economic impact of developmental projects through statistical and econometric modeling.

Himanshu holds an M.Phil. in Planning and Development from IIT Bombay, and an M.Sc. Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. As a lifelong athlete, he maintains a passion for trekking and sports, especially swimming and water polo. He likes to travel and watch drama shows in his free time.
