Kartikey Sharma is a Senior Program Associate – Climate Finance with the Cities program at WRI India. He leads work on advancing climate finance solutions, with a focus on financing for climate adaptation, project preparation, and the development of Project Preparation Facilities.

Before joining WRI India, Kartikey worked with Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and TERI across the climate policy and finance landscape. His experience spans carbon markets, transition finance, ESG disclosures, green credits, carbon pricing, risk assessment, blue economy, green budgeting, climate stress testing, circular economy, and sustainable agriculture.

Kartikey holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from OP Jindal Global University, where he was a merit scholarship student.

Outside of work, he practices Mixed Martial Arts, plays the drums, enjoys Renaissance art, and spends weekends experimenting in the kitchen.
