Nidhin Davis
Program Manager - Climate, Economics and Finance
Nidhin Davis is a program manager at WRI India's Climate, Economics and Finance Program. He primarily works on subnational climate action projects.
Previously, he has worked with grassroots organizations, government agencies and international donors on youth engagement, climate resilience and post-disaster recovery. He has worked on the implementation of ‘Carbon Neutral Meenangadi’ project in Wayanad, Kerala, which was recognized as a replicable model for locally-led climate action projects. He worked within a multi-disciplinary team during his tenure at Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) and was involved in the post-disaster recovery from the 2018 Kerala floods. Nidhin has also contributed to national and state-level climate policy initiatives through his roles at GIZ India and PwC India, including the implementation of EU-funded projects such as ‘Strategic Partnerships for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement (SPIPA)’ and the ‘EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership (CECP)’.
Nidhin holds a master’s in planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, specializing in environmental planning, and a bachelor’s in civil engineering.
In addition to his keen interest in community-based climate change adaptation and mitigation work, he enjoys travelling, photography and watching football and cricket.
