Pragya Nanda is a Senior Program Associate – Clean Transport with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India, based in the Delhi office. Her work focuses on advancing sustainable urban mobility solutions and reducing vehicular emissions through program development, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Pragya brings diverse experience working with communities, local governments, non-profits, and state and central government bodies. Her previous roles include positions at the GRIHA Council (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment), the Transport Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, and NITI Aayog, Government of India. She has contributed to a wide range of urban development and sustainable transport projects, including promoting energy-efficient building practices, encouraging modal shifts in transport, and evaluating government schemes across ministries.

An architect by training, Pragya holds a master’s degree in Urban Regeneration from Jamia Millia Islamia.

Outside of work, she enjoys playing badminton, practicing yoga, and exploring new cities to connect with people and their cultures
