Srijani Guha
Program Associate – Mapping and Monitoring
Srijani has joined WRI India as a Program Associate with the Restore pillar under the Food, Land and Water program. A GIS analyst by training, she supports ongoing landscape restoration work with the Madhya Pradesh State Employment Guarantee Council in Bhopal.
Srijani brings experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, and Environmental Conservation. Prior to WRI India, she worked as a Senior Project Associate (GIS) at the Wildlife Institute of India under the National Mission for Clean Ganga. In this role, she contributed to projects on spatial and statistical analysis, land use–land cover dynamics, watershed and wetland conservation, biodiversity monitoring, and aquatic flagship species conservation. [He/She/They] also engaged in stakeholder capacity building, field surveys, and close collaboration with the Ministry of Water Resources to support evidence-based conservation strategies.
Srijani holds a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Calcutta and a Master’s degree in Geoinformatics from Symbiosis International University.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, travelling, and reading, and has nurtured a keen interest in Bharatanatyam since childhood.
