Sruthi Jayaraj
Program Associate – Air Quality
Sruthi Jayaraj is a Program Associate, Air Quality at WRI India, where she contributes to field activities, data collection and analysis, and the development of scientific insights to support air quality management in cities.
She has a strong background in air quality management and environmental engineering, with expertise in air pollution monitoring, dispersion modeling, emission inventories, and health risk assessments. Her research focuses on understanding and mitigating VOC emissions, particularly from urban fuel stations and petrochemical industries.
Before joining WRI India, Sruthi earned her MS and PhD in Environmental Engineering from IIT Madras, where she worked extensively on characterizing and modeling air pollution. She has also collaborated on various projects addressing real-world air pollution challenges and solutions.
Outside of work, Sruthi enjoys traveling to explore new places and cultures and has a deep passion for dance.
