Sucheta Mondal is a Junior Program Associate in the Climate Program at WRI India, based in Bangalore. She supports the climate team in their energy-economy modelling work using the Green Economy Model for India, contributing to low-carbon development pathways.

Before joining WRI India, Sucheta worked as an ESG Intern at Agzistence, where she explored BRSR reports of top fifty Indian companies to understand the industry engagement in CSR, Sustainability and ESG in India and contributed to building an ESG database. She also has experience in industrial benchmarking and research.

Sucheta holds a master's in Environment, Climate Change and Sustainability Studies from TISS, Mumbai & bachelor’s in Geography from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi.

Sucheta enjoys spending her free time immersed in gardening and drawing simple one-line sketches. She also likes exploring new places, especially those close to nature and finds inspiration in local cultures and landscapes.
