Utsav Shah is a Senior Program Associate in the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. His journey with WRI India began with a pivotal role in the launch of the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM), and he continues to actively contribute to its growth and implementation by working closely with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

Before immersing himself in the hydrogen ecosystem, he worked in solar consultancy, utilities, and manufacturing industries (MSMEs), with an enriching stint in the CSR sector. His multifaceted experience enables him to tackle energy challenges through technical, policy, and business-oriented lenses.

Utsav is driven by a strong desire to see India achieve its net-zero ambitions by 2070, and he hopes to one day write a chapter on his contributions to this transformative journey when he retires. When he's not working, you'll likely find him traveling to new places, experimenting in the kitchen, diving into finance and nutrition, exploring insurance policies, or delving into spirituality-because, as he believes, a well-balanced life is key to a sustainable future!
