Energy is crucial for the socioeconomic development of a nation. Globally, 775 million people lack access to electricity, and 3 billion people do not have reliable electricity. Access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in recognition of electricity’s importance in facilitating healthcare services, reducing disparity, and promoting economic development. This technical note expands on the data-driven, integrated, and inclusive energy planning approach introduced by the Energy Access Explorer for the state of Jharkhand and builds on the primary data collection process.
